The Harbour Café

Menu, opening hours and a booking link — the three things a hungry visitor actually wants.

A quiet harbourside café at first light, empty wooden tables and steam rising from the coffee machine

The brief

A harbourside café doing strong summer trade and quiet winters, relying entirely on a Facebook page. Visitors couldn't find opening hours without scrolling a feed, and the kitchen was fielding the same three questions by phone all day.

What I’d build, and why

  1. Decision 01Hours and menu above everything

Both sit in the first screen on mobile. Most visits are someone standing outside deciding whether to come in, so the site answers that first.

  2. Decision 02Booking without an account

A single form, no login, no app. Anything heavier and a table booking becomes a phone call instead.

  3. Decision 03Seasonal menu the owner can change

Menu items live in one editable list. A price change is an email, live the same day, included in the monthly.
